Be present

“Breathing and observing the bare moment of awareness
Without assuming what it will become
May I live every moment with pristine awareness
Without waiting for an unforeseen future to cultivate it.”

Extract from ‘Reflections on calm abiding meditation’ provided
at a two-day retreat I attended at Pema Ts’al monastery in Nepal
and offered by Lama Choedak Rinpoche.

  1. Good message. I try to ‘be present’ particularly when I’m with others rather than constantly thinking of ‘what next’. I don’t always achieve it but I do try. Namaste.
