Happy New Year!
I’m kicking off 2014 with a milestone: my 100th Lead Challenge Inspire blog post. What a brilliant way to start a fresh new year!
2013 was a real roller coaster for me. Among the tough times (deaths, job hunting, injuries…), very precious events happened: I met my amazing man, reached Everest Base Camp, became godmother twice and started working with a wonderful not-for-profit. And these happy moments did not come as a surprise…
Earlier in the year, I read an article with a very interesting question involving some planning, with a great dose of dreaming. As you may know me, I love a bit of introspection and action. So I grabbed my notebook and answered the ultimate question: “What five things need to happen for 2013 to be my absolute best year yet?” I went through 2013 with these five intentions at times top of mind, other times in the background.
New Year resolutions are often short-sighted or poor in commitment, but these weren’t resolutions… they constituted a plan. A plan for success and happiness. As I’ve written before, what you put out there, the universe will make happen. So it did… Four of my five wishes came true (the fifth one was intentionally put on hold – dreams change, and that’s alright). Needless to say, my five 2014 wishes are already formulated.
I encourage you to do the same and grab your journal or a piece of paper and write down the five things that need to happen for 2014 to be your best year yet. Come on, it’s time to align your stars…
May you have a happy, healthy and successful 2014. Cheers!
