To hope or not to hope

Do you believe you can achieve anything?

I do.

I totally believe if someone puts all their thoughts and efforts towards a dream, they can make it happen. Sometimes a touch of flexibility on the details is best, but overall my thinking aligns with the saying “shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the starts”. There may be challenges and disappointments along the way, but hope and perseverance help us shuffle our way up the mountain to better see the horizon.

But what about those days when the mountain just seems too big? Should we stop climbing and find a smaller hill easier to tackle? Or is it best to try and go around it?

Is it ever ok to stop hoping our dreams may come true?

I came across this amazing and funny TED Talk “I got 99 problems… Palsy is just one” by Arab-American comedian Maysoon Zayid. Maysoon faced many mountains which could have deterred her from her dreams… but she kept chasing them fearlessly. She is inspirational. I hope you enjoy the talk as much as I did…
